Saw that vid and ordered the Bassani 46075's when I bought the car last April. That vid is also w/ the Bassani catted-x pipe which I *didn't* do.

I am perfectly happy with the bassanis, deep, low tone. Everyone who hears it says it sounds better than our Long tube header Vette. LS1 motors generally sound crappy though becuase of the firing order. Thinking I may just thro some Bassanis at that as well.

if you put those mufflers on your car i don't think it'll sound exactly the same only because he has the bassani X pipe with the mufflers to produce that sound... i would look for clips of people with your X-pipe and those mufflers...

right now i got the bassani X pipe and borla stingers and it sounds almost the same so I'm wondering if the Xpipe plays a big role in the sound...

i take that back check out this clip

yes....you midpipe play a huge role in the sound of the exhaust.

Hpipe will be deeper in tone and more muscular
xpipe with by more raspy and start to border on the ricer sound if you are not careful with the muffler you choose

I think they will sound good with my catted prochamber, which is a mix of an H-pipe and an X-pipe.

I'm gonna hate taking my stingers off to even try a new muffler though. The stingers were my first mod, and I still love the way they sound. I just want to see if I can get a nice "Mustang" sound from a semi-chambered muffler. Even if they sound great, I don't know if I can bring myself to sell the Borlas. They are kind of dear to me. I guess I might just allow myself that one extravagance of owning two sets of high quality, high dollar mufflers.

I had the Bassani modular X-pipe, but I sold it because I was so frustrated with it.
The first problem I had was that it was very difficult to attach to my over-axle pipes because they have to fit inside of the Bassani X-pipe slip-fit joints.
After I got it installed, one of the exhaust hangers was contacting the transmission crossmember and vibrating really loudly. I couldn't get it bent away far enough because of the weird design of the hangers.
The sound was pretty good, but I get much the same sound from my catted prochamber, only it's deeper and has less of a tendancy to be raspy like an X-pipe.

BTW, that clip you posted has always been one of my favorite Mustang sound clips. I love the way that car sounds.
I really love this one too.

I found these clips of a new edge Saleen with Bassani catted X and Bassani mufflers, and the S197 setup sounds very very similar in the launch and drive-by!

Here are bassani bx mufflers to kooks o/r xpipe and kooks headers but it has a saleen supercharger. My bassani's have never sounded like any of the videos i've heard even before the blower.
