i need a 5volt source for oil pressure sensor

Sorry, I misread. The guage needs the 0-5 from the sensor.
The sensor needs 5V in able to put out the 0-5V signal to
the guage. AeroForce guage.
Yes it is the same. LM7805. The 78 means its a positive voltage regulator.
The 05 is the regulated output voltage. They come in all different voltages.
Some are even adjustable in reference to the output voltage.
Left to right, heatsink to the back,the connections are - input, ground, output.

to be on the safe side, i used the 7805 i have here that i bought extra for some reason back when i did my shaker 500.

gauge is up and working great.!!!
