Default Broken Parking Brake cable..

I pulled my parking brake handle up today and SNAP. Ripped the little ball right off the end where it goes into the block by the driveshaft. Anyone else have this happen? Seems like the crappiest cable i've ever seen.

Justa happened to me today. I'm so pissed. Have the ESP plan, so I hope they will cover it... How long of a job is it?
