Keep in mind these scoops really give you a blind spot for changing lanes, so a small blind spot mirror is a good idea plus if you haven't tinted your Stang, I suggest you tint these sides in case you ever decide in the future to take them off. Just a thought....

 

Thanks again maui, I already tinted all the windows just in case I didn't like the look. Is the blind spot really that bad? I figured with that massive rear window and with the side mirrors turned out it would be ok.

 

mauiboy, what percent tint did u get on your driverside window and is your windshield tinted also,if so what percent

 

jackal2403: I've got 20% all the way around, no windshield.
rjonesjr34: Yes I highly recommend a blind spot mirror, your looking at a 2ft blackout space now, but if you tend to stick your head out the window not a problem or put a piece of cardboard or something to block your side view and try it for a day tell me what you think...

Personally I'm waiting for the CDC scoops to become available. They seem to just look better.

To mauiboy: That's the CDC Ducktail, right? How do you like it (considering it hangs down like that to the sides)? You said you had it painted? Is there a reason not to buy it prepainted from CDC?

 

I was hoping that Vent Shade would come out with one in dark smoke like the vent visor they sell but in louvers. That way you can still see through them, just a little darker. If you like the louver look, there is a decal for that:

GGIII: I personally don't trust prepainted accessories, I wanted a base/clear factory match with a warranty and yes it's a CDC. The sides blend in nice...
