LTS might or might not make the car loud.....what will increase the sound is the fact that its a catless or catted system. My car didnt get much louder with the ARH LTs. I had stingers and o/r h pipe before and with the new LTs. on a 1 -10 scale it might have gone up 1 point IMO.

My JBA shorties fit fine. The problem was when making hard turns the motor would shift a little bit because of the soft OEM mounts, vibrating against my frame rail. I put on some Steeda prothane mounts and the problem was solved. They didn't make the car noisey or vibrate anymore. The only time I could tell I had then was on start up or shut down I would feel the motor shake a little. But while driving I can't tell.

It's a DIY job that only needs basic tools and a few hours of time.

Thanks for all the responses!

I'm considering JBA, FRPP, BBK, MAC. Anyone with opinions on those?

I suppose if I did have some contact under severe turns I could adjust the seating of the transmission in the trans crossmember. At least, that's what the FRPP shorty instructions say to do when you're installing their shorties.

I wouldnt do the mac shorty headers. Just from the look of them, they seem like they would restrict the flow even more than the stock manifolds since they arent tuned length and all flow into the same pipe. They would just provide something shiny under the hood.

I'd go with JBA or BBK, if I am not mistaken all FRRP is actually made by BBK.

I had Mac on my fox and they were cheap...

Stay away from the longtubes unless you have forced induction.

Why do you say that? I think you will find many many people happy with their LTs without being FI. Have you had LTs on your NA s197?

I for one love my ARH LTs. i paid 1200 for them and would spend it again in a heartbeat. I felt some SOTP gains and the sound is like sex with my stingers! I dont know anyone who hasnt like the sound of my car yet.
