Default Cervinis eleanor window scoop owners enter

I have that silver metal grate on the openeing of the scoop like im sure most of you do. unless you dont have that? Has anyone removed the grate from the scoop?? how does it look? you can probably stick your hand in there and clean the window without that in there right? has anyone taken this piece out and left the scoop open?

Nope... left mine in so far. Kind of wish the lower one behind the door had a grate to keep all the fine pebbles, bugs, and misc other things I have found in their out. If you do it, PM me with the process and the results if you would please.

I painted mine black so it didn't stand out but left it in.

Cervini's forgot to send them to me so I didn't have them for a while. I didn't like it without it. The openings are too big to not have something there. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you put a black piece of vinyl or super dark tint inside. I'm sure they'd look good black if you paint the metal satin black, though.

Here's a couple of pictures.

I have been torn between these (cervini's) and the XENON quarter window scoops. Was wondering, since most posting in here have them, do the Cervini's have an opening to the outside on the back indentation? And is the front open to air with the silver mesh in or does it block the opening. Was just wondering if the air flows through them with the screen in, or if I got them and decided to remove it (my quarter windows are tinted), would the air going into them rip them off the vehicle or cause drag.

Air does not flow through them. I am sure they cause drag, but who cares, im not racing where that little bit of drag matters to me...

I have had mine on for a few months now and have been through lots of rain and they are still on there strong...
