Default Remote start

Has anyone had the Ford remote start installed on their car?
Any comments?

well i have a manual.. but i had the viper 5900 alarm/ remote start put in and i love it.. not sure about the ford though.. mine gives me a better alarm system and a "1 mile range" which will vary depending on the area but you get way more distance then any other remote for sure!!

Aftermarket remote starts compromise the PATS anti-theft system.
Make her real easy to start and drive away for theives.

We had the remote start installed by Ford in our 2005 4.0L/auto vert, and it's really nice (especially on cold days). No problems with the active anti-theft system either. You CAN install a remote start on a car with a manual tranny, but the Ford dealer may not do it for you due to safety concerns about the car running off on its own.
