They are perfect IMO. I would say just start with the axel-backs, if somehow they arn't loud enough you can add on later. But just wait till you install them, and stand behind your car yourself and get someone to rev the engine, beautiful! Very loud, very ballsy. When i'm driving behind my mustang in my buddy's car, him just touching the gas i can easily hear my car, sounds like a old school muscle car, just they way it should. They sound unreal once you hit the higher rev's, thy really start to scream at about 3,500rpm. Give it a try, i guarantee you won't be disappointed, i love mine. I didn't noice any power gains or loss. Just way better sound, so you think you go faster! Hope this helps, Jordan

P.S The 3.5 inch stainless steel tips looks GREAT, SLP is great quality, everything fit right into place, only took an hour to install. But the tips are very nice.

I am running slp with o/r x and it sounds mean as hell. loud yes very very loud.

at our last cruise there was close to 30 cars there or so and we drove from prlando to tampa and I had atleast a dozen people there tell me how bad *** my car sounds.

This is my 3rd set up I have had and dont see it going anywhere. I am adding LT soon though so I am going to get some pypes m-80 welded in and just use my slp as the tips still.

I am running LT's , x-pipe, high flow cats, and slp lm's. I feel it is plenty loud. IMO off road pipes, LT's, and muffler deletes are a bit too loud.

OK IFyou like oldtime muscle sound use slp axleback only, the guys are correct when they say there too much with o/r x,, imo the other axlebacks borla, corsa ,flow, mag, all have a (ricer) sound. preferred by younger generation.

Question about the Loudmouths (with stock h-pipe):

How externally loud are these at cruising speeds?

I probably won't. I'm no mechanic (although I would certainly love to learn) so I don't want to have to pay someone to put the catted pipes back on for inspection time every year.
