I added bbk headers to mine and I must say just the bbk and the slps is the way to go, very deep and grumbley, the only way to discribe it is it kinda sound cammy.

did you get longtubes or shorties and did you get them from american muscle? what is the rest of your exhaust setup?

Just as an FYI, I just had to get my car inspected in MD, and the SLP LM axlebacks failed since there is no visible muffler. I had to put the stock system back on for it to pass. I do not know if you have to meet that specification where you are, but something to consider.

I bought the car with the SLP on there, and I can not believe how quiet riding stock is. It is so quiet even at WOT, I do not see how anyone could get enjoyment out of the stock mufflers.

Needless to say I will be bolting the LM's back on tonight lol! The mechanic at the inspection station even told me they sounded great!

I got mine on ebay(slp), and craigs list(bbk)... I have the shorties BBK stock mid pipe and SLP LM.

so American Muscle saying that if you buy BBK shorties, you need to buy a new midpipe is a load of BS?

good to hear. i hear header installation sucks...how was it for you?
