LOL! Joe, I love mine but you really need to lose those stock speakers you won't beleave how nice that Kenwood sounds with some good speakers! I already had the Bluetooth unit from Kenwood or I would of got the same model as yours but thats the only diffrance between the two. Did you make a custom background for yours yet?

I put the magazine group shot on my background. Still learning how to use the damn system and how to balance my sound. What kind of speakers did you change up front and in the rear and their sizes? Thanks.

MTX makes a sub and box to go with it that fits neatly off to one side of your trunk. Looks a lot like the one that comes the Shaker1000 except it is 1 sub instead of 2. Nobody needs 2 subs anyway if there is sufficient power getting pushed to 1 sub. Check out crutchfield to see what it looks like.

One other thing...I'm a big Boston Acoustics fan. Boston makes a 5x7 speaker made for Ford speaker locations. I guess Ford likes 5x7. It isn't a odd-shaped oval woofer, but a decent sized round one with a tweeter mounted next to it on a 5x7 plate. I believe they are called SL80's and MSRP is $299/pr, but can be had all over the internet for $165+/pr. I plan on replacing both front and rear speakers with these. I've been real happy with every other BA speaker I've ever purchased and installed in other cars.

is everyone just upgrading the system without putting the sound-deadening material? just wondering cause i don't seem to be reading anything on anyone putting that in except for a few cases.

i'm guessing it'll sound fine just upgrading because it seems like most are just swapping speakers/systems.

I did not put it in and it sounds just fine. But I'm going to do it later on just to cut down on the road noise
