I agree that they don't do as well as those on my truck but the contrast improved greatly when I replaced the stock bulbs with a Hella Yellowstar knock-off. I only use them during dark conditions with heavy fog and/or rain.

Remember... it's just as important to be seen.
So, they have to be low.
If you can see better, you can be seen better...

I tested my lights right after I bought my Pony Package. Turned on the headlights, then turned on fogs, then off fogs, then on again, and there was a difference. took 2 seconds and I only have standard OEM setup. I'm sure with brighter bulbs the difference would be even bigger.

Default Fogs

I like the fogs on my '06 GT 'vert. I have been running Sylvania Silverstars for a couple of years. They were OK, but were so white, in the fog, I got a lot of reflection. I recently installed a pair of Hoen Endurance yellow fog bulbs. I haven't had a chance to try them in real fog yet, but I think they'll be a genuine improvment.

a lot of people don't like mine. going up a canyon and i have all 4 on. people are always flicking their high beams thinking i'm running high's.

so for fun, i just zap em with one flick of my high's and they shut up or just speed off.

most of the time, starting from 7pm til late at night i'm usually running all 4.

during the mornings i run just fogs and daytime running lights so that people can see me, don't want an idiot running itno my lane.

I really enjoy using them alone running around town at night. I like the look it has and the cops have never said anything. I did find I like the illumination of having all 4 on in the dark of night. I was over in Montana on the plains and it was as dark as the inside of a cow. I drove with all 4 on, instead of high beams. I wish I could figure out how to configure high beams and the fogs!!

I would venture to guess that the standard GT/PP fogs work a bit better than the center fog grilles, but I really don't know for certain.
yah, I agree. On normal well-lit city streets, it's more about the "looks" at night. But on darker back roads they definitely help.

I use my fog lights every time i drive at night!! It's a huge difference from just using the headlights!! This is the process.....Get in the car, turn on the car and two clicks to the right and pull!!
Sometime i too get the occasional flicking from others thinkin they are my highbeams and then i turn the high beams so they will know just like r3velation said!! lol
