Default Front License Plate Mounting Solution

I purchased my '05 GT which was registered in a state where no front license plate was required. My front fascia is clean, no plate, bracket nor holes. I now live in a state which has and requires the use of a front license plate. I like the clean look of the front fascia and I get a rash and shake all over when I even think about piercing the "virgin" fascia just to hang a front license plate.
The fines are pretty stiff for non-display and a few tickets will tarnish my driving record, spelled i-n-s-u-r-a-n-c-e r-a-t-e-s and would also dig into my "speed parts" money.
Has anyone been in my position?...and if so what'd you do?... Any ideas about fabricating a bracket that could be affixed in another manner other than say, drilling or piercing the front of the fascia?....
I'm taking the benadryl and asprins as I write.....
P.S. Does Ford use some type of front plate bracket on the S197 fascias???....

I unfortunately had mine poked through when I was in Germany they wouldnt let me roll out of the lot without the front plate.. I have seen a few people with some good ideas on here on how to have it done... I believe some companies actually sell a bracket that goes on when driving and hides when not... but let someone else chime in...

I have a personalized plate and a chrome plate frame. Looks great against the black. Idaho requires a front plate, the dealer already mounted their lame *** frame.

I had mine on my dash then i got pulled over twice for no front lp so i put it on the front it sucks.

well what state are you in? In WI you need one and I dont have one on mine and no problems so far (knock on wood) Try it out in your area.....some cops dont care as long as your not driving like a jackass

I live in Texas, where you have to have a front plate for almost a year. So far no problem. I have several friends that are cops and they tell me that it is usually not an offense they will pull you over for. BTW, they also said NOT to put the plate on your dash since that will only draw attention.

^+1 Thats the way I'll go when I change the front bumper. Could not get inspection sticker in MA without plate when car was purchased.

That Altec device looks bad when it's retracted also though. Instead of ruining the bumper it ruins the lower lip by standing out, as their video clearly shows.
