I'm in MD and supposed to have one and haven't put it on since I got the car. Not really worried about a ticket because it's only an inspection ticket and I can fab something up if that happens to hold for a day to pass the inspection ticket. You might want to check the law and what the ticket is because I debut it would be bad on you insurance as it is not a moving violation.

Look at all the corvette guys that don't run front tags I almost never see any of them with fronts.

I think the front bumpers look kinda funny with no license plate because of the flat spot molded in for the plate. I would rather not attract any more attention to my bright red sports car than I have to, so I run one, and I drilled the holes, because I don't show my car or anything.
That bracket is kinda cool though, I might have gotten that if I had known about it.

You have a flat spot on your bumper...??

Did someone bump into your bumper? :-)

I live in TX and haven't had one on my car since I got it (March 08) and haven't had any problems. Infact, for church and work I have to get 'let out' by a cop from the parking lots due to traffic issues. Neither the cops at my church or at work have every said anything...

The guy who did my tint doesn't have one on his car, he told me that he took his front plate and bent it a little over his knee and then dragged it acorss the gound until it got all scuffed up. He then leaves it in his glove box and if he get's pulled over he'll tell the cop that it just fell off and he's waiting for a new bracket to come in. Said it got him out of two tickets so far.
