Turn key to aux.
Wait 30 seconds for abs light to go out.
Snap and un-snap seat belt 13 times.
Start car up.

Seat belt chime gone.

(Get on soapbox) Everybody should have a choice. (step off soapbox)

But still i'm going to be highly pissed if this bonehead gets thrown out of his Mustang from hitting a tree and lands on my Mustang. I'm sueing for involuntary car slaughter.

It could be your life, but w/e, not mine. My best friend races his 04 GT and has 4 point harnesses so when he wants the beeping to stop he just brings the seat belt around the back of the seat and them plugs it into the latch.

On my 04 supercrew I just push the seatbelt release button after I start it (or when it starts dinging), prevents the stupid dinger from starting.

But on the positive side most of the 20 replies care about you enough to tell you you should wear a seat belt so you can continue to complain about people minding their own buisness. Besides if you don't turn that airbag off you probably wont have a face to talk out of. They tell you to maintain at least 10 inches from the steering wheel. It's hard to do when you don't have a seat belt pinning you to the seat. You're not really a bonehead but just living life on the edge (of your seat).

Well, like everyone else here I say where it - but if I chose to not where my seatbelt, clicking and unclicking it 13 times is a pain in the *** IMO. If it were me, and I absolutely refused to where it, then I would go to a scrap yard and cut the belt latch off a wrecked '05 and stick it into my buckle permantly. Problem solved at all times in an instant!

Thanks for the information I was looking for! It works like a charm.

How about a better way to phrase the question: Is there a way of turning down the volume of the seat belt buzzer?

I wear my seatbelt, but the thing is pretty darned loud it actually jolts me on occasion.
