Default Washing Microfiber Towel, Wax Pads, Etc.

I have a few large microfiber towels to remove excess water after washing. I also have a bunch of smaller microfiber towels I use for wax removal and a few terry cloth waxing pads I use for wax application. Finally, I have a few large terry cloth towel I use to wipe off the tires/wheels/wheel opening/door openings.
I want to know how to properly wash all of these wiping and application cloths. I've heard
that their is a specific "microfiber detergent"?...
I have washed towels in the past and they come out hard & crusty.
Can you please advise me how to/with what/and what not to clean or wash each of the different cloths with?....

Thanks

I have used this stuff. It seems to work better than laundry detergent alone.

I just use regular washing machine soap with a double rinse. DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER!! or those little dryer sheets.

Same as redhot06 here. Additionally, wash separately the microfiber towels you use to remove wax from everything else.

I've been washing them for years useing the hot water setting on the washing machine with fabric softener, never had a problem. I buy them in bulk, 25 for $30ish.

Don't mix the microfibers with the terry towels. The microfiber towels will pick up any lint the cotton terry towels have. I NEVER use a fabric softener or high heat when washing or drying the microfibers either. ....JMO

no need to waste energy with hot water. Warm does it just fine.
Don't mix them in the dryer and even better don't use a dryer at all. Let them air dry.
