The best thing about car mods is there will always be people like this to laugh at.
One of the best examples of this I have ever seen was about 15 years ago, I was in the car audio business. This kid brings in a Fiero with the testarossa ferrari body kit (looked like it was painted with a rattle can) and starts asking about a stereo for it.. I asked what kind of car he had (knowing at first glance it was a fiero with an ugly body kit) and he says "its a Ferrari". I looked outside and said "that one? thats a fiero", and he says "no, its a Ferrari". The kid was totally serious and really thought that he had a Ferrari. So I walked out to the car, looked inside, said "yep, delco deck and 4x10's in the dash, its a fiero". As we walked back in to the store he is still trying to tell me its a Ferrari. I sold him some replacement 4x10 dash speakers and a deck with a GM dash kit, harness, and antenna adapter and let him go on his way. To this day I get a good laugh out of it.
One man's trash is another man's treasure..

You walking back into the store (shaking your head) as the kid is trying to catch up with you repeating "It is a Ferrari"...Priceless.

It's been done... next cruise-in I go to I will take a picture. There are two guys there with V6 cars that have fixed them up like a ricer with a civic. the first guy has a mineral gray 05 V6. He bought it from our dealership, then went back to parts department and bought GT emblems. Then came back up front... measured were the emblems were on a GT and made sure to place his in the same spot on his V6.
Currently the car has a kinds of crap on it and he even had lettering made up that goes down the rockers that says "GT Highout 4.0 V6"
The other guy that hangs out with him has a white V6 car and he has put shelby badges ALL over it and tried to make it look like a GT 500... and he tells everyone it is! It's pretty funny.
The next cruise-in is on the 4th of Oct., I'll take some pictures.

I used to have a '76 Cobra II. When I sold it I kept the grille emblem and later on I mounted it to the grille on my '73.
Atleast the Cobra is on a more muscular car now.
I do have a few people who don't know any better that think it is a Cobra.
I don't claim it is a Cobra, and I don't claim it as a Mach I.

Why in the hell would they stick the cobra emblem offset like that? It looks so weird like that. I mean yeah the cobra emblem does look cool, but not stuck there like that! LOL!
Epic FAIL!
I saw a riced out New Edge here in Austin a while back. Oh man it was pure comedy. I don't remember what all he had done to it but I do remember laughing the whole way home (1 hour later ). If I could see him again I'm so whipping out my camera phone.
