GT 500 Boost
#11
The math is pretty basic across the roots and twin screw spectrum. I've had numerous tunes at different psi and timing on my Mustang GT Saleen SC, and the GT500 isn't that different. Here are the numbers;
Original Saleen Tune early 06' 4.5psi @ 19 timing, 376rwhp 356rwtk (4.0 pulley)
JDM tune 8lbs @ 16-17 timing, 421rwhp 400rwtk 3.6 pulley
JDM tune 14lbs @ 16 timing, 501rwhp 479rwtk 2.875 pulley
JDM tune 12bls @ 17 timing 474rwhp 452rwtk (my current tune )
Many on 10psi tunes @ 16 timing are getting 440-450rwhp with twin screws
I'm assuming the GT500 tune is on 19 timing or so @9psi and it makes total sense that it is making 430-440rwhp when broken in to produce 500 flywheel HP. You can take the 11-13% drivetrain loss on these Superchargers to the bank, the numbers always seem to varify this in my research and experience. Erik

A supercharger on a 4.6 is in no way the same as the gt500 motor. The displacements and compression ratios are both different among other things which means you cant just say that b/c you make 440 hp at a certain psi, thats what the gt500 is running.
