Rattling Noise comming from steering wheel arm (need to know how to remove arm cover)
I tried to search this but found nothing. There is a rattling noise coming from the right arm of my steering wheel. Sounds like some sort of plastic piece came loose and/or broke. The cruise control function works fine but the rattling is annoying.
Basically, I want to know if there is a way I can remove the silver cover piece without breaking it so I can see whats going on in there.
Thanks for the help.

You have to pull out the airbag. If you look on each side of your steering wheel, youl will see to little plugs.Pull those off and the screws that hold the airbag in are under those.Remove and the airbag will come right out.MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE DOING THIS THOUGH!After that, you will have access to the switches and the spokes you are talking about.Hope this helped!

Perhaps this will help....

If you are talking about the silver spokes, this says they can be serviced separately.....
