I've always been told it's bad to let it sit and that you should start it up at least once every couple weeks to let it warm up. In extreme cases if a car sits long enough I've heard it's bad on seals and that sort of thing. They can burn oil and need a rebuild.

I start mine once a month (or less) and let it run for 30-40 minutes. I rev to a couple thousand RPMS to help blow out any moisture not burned with the good warm up. The car is stored in the garage, under the car cover, with the battery tender plus hooked up, and the floor is epoxied with 3 coats and I never see moisture in the garage. Actually in the winter the humidity is much less than in the summer or spring. I leave both windows cracked and turn off the radio and don't forget the fuel stabilizer (though many will say it is not long enough to necessitate the use of it) but I have a tendency to store it for 5-6 months. I also change the oil before storage and make sure the tires have enough air in them so they don't get flat spots (depending on what series tire you run) but again I have a nice air compressor that I use and I can guarantee that at least one time I will have to put more air in the tires. (depends on the temp changes)

Theres going to be plenty of days where the roads are dry during winter that mine will be out breathing the fresh cold air. I couldn't imagine not driving her throughout winter !

Mine is outside year round. I am in NJ which has it share of crazy winter weather.
I have my Explorer for my DD and so I don't worry about driving the GT out in any of that, but BOY do I miss it. They put so much salt and sand and whatever that spray stuff is on the roads around here that I do not drive it until most of that is washed off the roads in spring.
My cover does a fine job, but does not cover all the way to the ground. About 1/3 of the wheel and tire show. So I have been looking in to getting some tire covers to complete the "car coccoon. " I do start it up and move it around (in order for the husband to plow the driveway) but mostly it sits the winter out.

I only start up mine once a month. I have enough room in the garage to move it forward and back 10 feet to move the bearings.

Once a week seems overkill to me, and more cold-start wear than necessary.

I'm a Jersey boy in the same boat. the roads are literally a white haze from all the salt during the snow months, and that stuff aint touching the Stang. Luckily I have a garage.

I park it on top of a tarp to shield it from the cement and moisture from the cement floor. oil change close to storage time. trickle charger to keep the battery tip top.....thats pretty much it.

maybe started it once a month, but never started it if I wasnt absolutly sure I was running it for at least 30 minutes
