Z_GT... did you get Part No. FMS-M-16700-A?? And how about posting some pics of the finsihed product?
don_w, I have ordered that same set already, earlier this week. When I re-install these I will post a picture. The reason I ordered this set is, everything is Stainless Steel. The set I have installed now are just chrome plated steel. So, the one's I have on now, look really good, but if you get Any scratches on the scuff plates, when removing the pins, it will start to rust. Unless you keep them clean, everyday! So, these Ford Racing one's do cost more, aern't nice shinny chrome, but will last! The only way to keep the chrome ones looking like new is to rasie the main pin high enough, so the hairpins never touch them when removing. But when I tried that, they look like crap.

One other alternative for the retaining clips is to use locking hood pins. They have a round key on the top instead of a retaining pin. This way you don't have to worry about the lanyards scrathcing the car, or loosing the clips.
odiaz, I actually tried a set of locking one's first! But, due to our hood's angle, the locks will not drop down far enough into the pin, for the lock to work! So, the locking one's won't work on our hoods

Thanks... I'd like to see pics with the hood shut, as well as with the hood open (showing how/where the pins are mounted).

That's good info.

OK, here's a few pictures so you can see where they are installed. You can acutally drill the hood, without any measurements. Once you remove the inuslation from under the hood, you'll see these 2 'X' Just place the scuff plate, next to the two outside edges, then mark the center hole. I then started to drill from the underside first, just until the drill popped threw the out side. I then completed the holes for the top of the hood. I used a new, sharp step drill bit. It's makes a really nice clean hole. Don't forget to paint the edges of all of the holes you drill, so they won't rust. This includes the 4 holes for the screws on the scuff plates. After the scuff plate hole is drilled, put a small amount of paint on the bottom of the pins. Slowly place the pins, down into the holes in the hood, keep them straight. The paint will mark the place to drill in the raditor support rails.

Thanks Dave, that is very good information indeed. I'm still waiting for my car. Thanks for posting the pictures. That is very helpful.

No, sorry I forgot this picture showing the pins, after you re-install the cover.
