Door handle question

Just wanted to post that I just got finished working on my door and that worked. I was able to reset the rod and therefore allows the handle to set back in the flush position. The hardest part was putting the door back together in the dark but I got it back together finially and it looks good!!!!!! Thank you again!!!!!!!!

I had this same problem, fortunately repaired under warrantly (they replaced the handle).
