Default converting to 20's?

ive finally decided that my 18's are just way too small for my taste so ive been researching alot on 20s and i am coming across some confusion. So heres my question. what all is required for a full 20's tranformation (20x10 in back and 20x8.5 in front)? ive read that sometimes you have to get new brakes or recallibrate your computer so your speedometer will read correctly and also wheel spacers. can anyone give me and accurate and complete list of what ill need for the transformation?

if the wheels have the proper offsets you will not need any spacers. your speedometer will be off as well so you can either deal with it, have the dealership flash your ecu, or use a handheld tuner. i believe your brakes will be fine if they are stock

converting to 20"s is not all that technical. As long as you get tires that will get you close to stock height. The stock 18's, with a 235/50/18 tire, has a overall height of 27.25". Now if you run say a 295/30/20 in the rear(which looks badazz) your over all height would be 26.97". Thats almost 1/4 of an inch difference. Which would mean your speedo would be off about .5mph at 50mph and 1mph at 100mph. So in reality thats really not worth correcting unless you have a tuner. Its not worth spending the $$ just to correct the tire size.

+1

if you keep the overall diameter the same, you'll be just fine.

one other thing you may find yourself getting is an adjustable panhard bar. when you lower your car, the rear end will tend to kick out just a hair to one side and with the stock wheels and tires on you just don't tend to notice it, but as soon as you put a wider rim/tire on the back it will be more obvious.

imho, 20's look way too big on a stock v6
but if you lower the car, maybe you'll be able to pull it off
are you getting chrome?
