i'm really considering buying that unit. other than the price (i could do without gps, which i figure why it costs so much), this thing has all pros and no cons; SD card for music FTW! i like the possibility of having 8,16 GB (or whatever the max capacity it will read is) of music available.

I'll get some tonight. The pics don't ever turn out that great when it's sunny out... The screen just blurs...

Lookin good, I've got the AVIC-F700BT myself and funny enough, I put the mic in the exact same spot. Did you put the nav antenna there too? I put it right up by the windshield and it works perfectly. Friggen software on mine is pretty buggy though and sometimes the radio does not work right. I don't drive every day so it doesn't bother me that much but sometimes I just want to punch that thing. In all seriousness though, it is a great radio that will hopefully have a firmware update in the future to make it even better.

Oh ya, and in case anyone wanted to know the 700 is the same as the 900 except the 900 has that microsoft crap and a glossy versus matte finish.

Thanks Boozshey.... I thought so but just wanted to make sure. I will save this thread so I can reference later!

I mounted my GPS reciever behind the radio up inside the dash. I stuck it to a metal bar in there, just the same as I did with my AVIC-D3 prior to this.

But those that are really interested check out my AVIC-D3 write-up. https://mustangforums.com/m_4489289/tm.htm

As for some pics. Not the best, but here goes...

I am trying to find a reciver that will play movies form a USB device. The prefered format that I would like is .avi with divx codec but I can convert to anything. Does this unit or any other play movies via USB or flash?

I was reading another forum where a guy was watching a movie from an SD card, and another that was watching it from a USB. So I would say that it is possible.
