They have been threads about that before...
At that price, it's not true Carbon Fiber.
And that means the weight saving is now just a remote theory.
Having said that, it would look good on some cars.
The ricer comment must have been a fart because it ain't worth much.
For those who go to the race track, especially road course, you see Vettes, Vipers and other American cars having CF parts in order to reduce weight.
The GT500 SS has a chin and other parts in CF on it, also.
I guess it's a rice Mustang lol...

I didn't mean to jab at you anyway...
I could see 06elnr hood being in CF with his two tone car.
The darkest being the top part, it'd be interesting.
Also CF was on the tracks before it was on the streets, so the ricers jumped on that as soon as the "faux" CF was available.
They take a good thing and put it on a POS car, and it becomes a joke.
Like having a $5000 wheels set on a $250 car lol.

no go for me. put that money into the engine if you are looking to save weight for more power. And isnt the main purpose of carbon fiber suppose to be its strength and light weight? Why would you need fiberglass to reinforce it? As far as looks carbon fiber is nice but not when its the whole hood. And there are a lot better looking hoods out there that are a lot cheaper.

I would buy it and on your black car I think it would blend well unpainted. I have a Seibon cf vented hood on mine and I love the way it looks so do all the people that can't stop staring at it and taking pictures posing next to it etc
bottom line its your car do what you want your paying for it&you have to look at it in the driveway everyday
