It's a 3.5'' as opposed to a 4'' like I have. I paid $600 for mine, and it's 17#'s.

Actually I'd rather have a 3.5''. I don't ever really plan to ever go beyond 600whp in this car and the 3.5'' provides additional clearance if you need/want to lower the car beyond 2''. I would think a 4'' would have fewer problems with vibration and such. Sounds like a good deal and a lighter driveshaft makes a performance difference you can FEEL. Highly recommended mod.

are you guys not reading the fine print? It's for NEW EDGE (SN95 96-04) Mustangs..not S197 (05+) Two totally different DS

You are correct FR500C is S197 but both part numbers are for either 79-? Mustangs or new Edge.

I wonder if they meant to say "FR500C like driveshaft for" blah blah blah

It's not the first time I've seen FRPP mislabel something or not give a clear description of what it fits or even have the wrong picture in their stuff. Granted that is not the FRPP site but a lot companies will take FRPP stuff and put it on their site if they are FRPP authorized.
