Damnit, What did I F up this time.
Trying to find the cause of my front end clunking, I tighten my front strut nuts. The big ones in the center of each strut under the hood. Drove around, sound changed but was still there. I then loosened them to finger tight in plans of tightening them back up back to where they originally were.
Problem is here. The freaking rods just spin now. The nuts don't get any tighter. I can spin the socket with my hand, no ratchet required. Drove around and the noise is just as bad if not a little worse (yup its worse).
2 questions.
What did I just F up?
Since me moving this nut made the sound change, what part should I be replacing to get rid of the clunking?
THANK YOU!!!
