true duals???
i was thinking about this the other day i can tell you this i had an 84 bronco with LT headers and no cats and no mid pipe and flowmasters and that was one of the loudest things i have i love it
the way the h-pipe works is it helps pull exhaust from the other pipe, equals out the pressure.you have 4 cylinders fireing in harmony on each bank, and 4 on the other bank, all in sync, as each puff is sent thru the exhaust it leaves a small gap, so if all 8 cylinders are going, those empty gaps will actually pull exhaust from the other side like a vacuum, equaling the exhaust out.x pipe is a little better becuase the exhaust does not have to cut around a 90 degree angle.

+1
better scavenging
idk how it would sound tho.
i had a similar setup as deekum on a 77 stang. it had a rebuilt 302 w/ LT's, just a 6 inch straight midpipe, and sonic turbo mufflers right under the cabin and dumped. and it was loud as H-E-double hockey sticks.
nice i had a rebuilt 302 bordeout a little the truck was a beast i love that thing
