knight rider scanner
on a side note i was watching knight rider yesterday, and KITT is not a real gt500 either. The tachometer was on the left side, which means its a modified GT also.
So those of you hating on my snakes need to go hate on the producers of Knight Rider too!

LOL! I could of told you that. A lady where I work husban works on the cars for the show and he said they have 45 cars and there is no way they were going to buy 45 KR's LOL! They do however have do have one or two KR's....
im actually an electrical engineer and i design aerospace ICs for a living, so im going to make this my project.
Just have to find sometime to prototype it on a breadboard then get the board milled and sodder the parts. There is no reason why an LED scanner should cost $5000 dont know why they are charging that much.

You are right that KITT is actually a Mustang GT with a supercharger on it. I saw both regular KITT and "attack mode" KITT at the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction in West Palm Beach earlier this year (movie cars). They were auto GTs with whipple superchargers.
I say go for it. If you do the mod, then your car will be a KITT clone. If you do not do the mod, then your are a GT500KR poser. Better to have a clone of something than be a poser. Because of the exclusivity of the actual GT500KR, an owner of one of those cars would be a fool to do this (considering the value and rarity of the car).
This would be no different than the Saleen mustang guy on this forum making his car look like The Enforcer from Transformers. Sounds like he has fun with his car. Do it!
