Default Stubborn map lights

My 08 GT has about 800 miles on it now and I've noticed that at night (the only time it really shows) my map lights go on and off randomly though very low. My backlight/maplight dial is set midway so it isn't the dial turning them on and my door-ajar symbol isn't on when it happens. I don't know why its doing this, does anyone have the same problem?

i've heard of some different wiring issues with these cars, but i've never heard of a problem with the map lights.

That's a new gremlin... When all else fails I'd try lifting the negative battery cable at an attempt to reset the onboard computer. Just a thought...

Take it in to the dealer. Maybe they already know about the problem.

I checked around here and didn't see anything related to a map light issue. Also, I've been monitoring several sites on behalf of Ford and I don't remember that issue coming up in other conversations. I concur with everybody else and suggest you take your Mustang to your dealership if you haven't already.

don't you hate the dealer? They always give you some BS excuse or something, i hate the ford dealer sooo much that i take mine to a toyota dealer to get serviced, actually i bought my mustang from a Toyota dealer LOL! They never hastle or try to "jack" me, if you catch my drift....
