Default Oiling the underside of their car?

Does anybody else other than me do this to their cars? Every fall I oil the underside of my cars with used motor oil. I use a siphon feed sand blaster and a 5 gallon just of the used stuff. I have never had rust on my cars. Quite messy for about a week but with being in the salt belt where the salt eats the cars away in the winter. I just did my stang and my other 2 last week.

I was told by an old body man to do this. He had a 70's blazer that looked like new. No rusr what so ever. The underside after driving awhile gets this black coating of oil/dust that makes a nice protective barrior not letting the water/salt in... My 79 F150 was immaculate no door rust no cab corner rust. The bed looked like new..

wouldn't it be bad to get oil on all those rubber and plastic parts?
Just wondering...

I would have to think that there must be SOME rubber underneath that I wouldn't happy getting oil on. And something about the bottom of my car atracting all that dirt...

http://www.aircraftcorrosioncontrol.com This is what we use on our aircraft, and I use it on my car. It also displaces water that may be deep inside crevices, and is also used to keep electrical components corrosion free. A little of it goes a long way, and there is minimal mess.
