My C&L came loose once but it was most likely my fault. I had taken it apart to clean the throttle body that same week and must've not tighten it enough. Don't be afraid to tighten it up real good.

Not saying it's your fault. Just saying sometimes the small details during install make a big difference.

yeah man dont blame the seller of the product. It seems you did the same thing i did and you may have either not tightened the clamps tight enough or maybe the intake tube was pushed in too far into the grommet causing tension on the fittings and pulled it off while you were enjoying the extra ponies from the intake and tune with the motor bucking away. I readjusted my fittings to make the grommet push against the TB and then tightened away and no problems since. I hope things go well in the future and you use this example as i did that even the most simple of tasks require a high level of attention to detail and always think of what could go wrong and try to elimate them from the list.

Okay...if I follow the instructions to a T and everything is perfectly tight when I am done, I did not make a mistake, rather; the product should be higher quality. You don't see the stock airbox coming apart in three seperate places do you? Of course not! I believe the main goal of quality and VERY expensive aftermarket parts should be to strive to maintain or exceed STOCK part durability and at the same time give off a desired effect (i.e better / different appearance, more horsepower, better traction, whatever). I retightened the clamps, it's holding, but my point is this: a friend of mine has a 2006 GT with a stock airbox and he has never had to tighten the bolts holding it on. Replace the filter, sure; but never retighten bolts. All I'm saying is I believe for a part this expensive, when the directions are followed, it should stay in place and fully functional for YEARS, not MONTHS.

/end rant

P.S - I can certainly afford the 10 minutes to retighten clamps every couple of months, I just wanted to vent lol.

Yes I see your point and your right it wasn't fair of me to say anything bad about Brenspeed when all they are doing is reselling a product, so if any Brenspeed staff happen to read this I apologize and hope they won't hold it against me, when I first read the quote I completely missed that it was from Brenspeed and just assumed it was from Steeda, if that had been the case then I would stand by it being nothing more than a standard response that doesn't solve the issue regardless of what the issue was, as it wasn't from Steeda my bad and in future I'll keep my mouth shut until I've fully read a post.

The steeda part has the HIGHEST qualtity and the error was not in the part but the install.

I had it for almost a year, never got loose, but when I cleaned my filter and took it off, I noticed it rubbed into my radiator hose and my PS reservoir quite a bit! (Took it off, and bought a Saleen elbow, much better!)

mine was loose after taking it to a shop for maintenance.

there are only (now 3) people who touch my car. myself and murillo motorsports.

We should all check the fittings of our CAI's along with every oil change. should be preventive maintenance...
