i really like the look of that shifter, but if you have the ratchet does it always have to be in ratchet mode?...if i wanted to take it to the strip can i drive it like i would without the ratchet?

The B&M is not as nice as The TCI and We (I) don't buy from RPM outlet

love the auto... I find that shifting for day to day driving very useful, especially when passing, merging or just getting up to speed whenever necessary. It's too bad there wasn't another gear to use.

Leaving it in D and manipulating the throttle just isn't as efficient and just putting in 2nd or 3rd to get the extra umph you need and you can't just floor it any time and expect it to be civilized lol.

For drag racing though leaving it in D is where it's at.

I had been calling them every few weeks to get updates since about 4 months ago and was put on the waiting list. I got a call a couple of weeks ago from TCI and was told that they were going to be getting these in November. I didnt really ask any information after that as my mod fund is at 0 for this year. But I am assuming if they went through the trouble of calling me the shifters must be just about here.

This would help me so much in autocross. I had an event tonight and I was thought about this thread a bunch. I shifted from 1 to 3 and even 1 to drive... that was bad.
Well, time to add this to the mod list... well, more like mod wishlist.

I wish we had the pedals on steering wheel for manual shifting.
Take a look at this story of 2008 Ford Falcon, it's using the same 5r55s transmission and they give the Tiptronic shifting for Falcon http://www.countrycars.com.au/Editor...8&MiniSiteID=8

I wan't it too

TCI has paddle shifter set up for any automatic it is really cool. But the problem is that if you went with this you would have to pull the airbag and replace the stock steering wheel. I may go this direction since I have a Rollbar, Raceseats and Harnesses and my airbag doesnt work anymore anyways.

Heres the link.
