That "small" lope can get bigger depending on the tune/idle set speed. My idle is set at 900rpm.

You need "driveability" with a lopey cam and the car will die on you a lot with a good deal of lope and manual trans. This was a great tradeoff. Great off-idle response and I'm hoping for better with some aftermarket cops.

So since I have an auto, I wonder if I can lower the idle to get more lopey without worrying about dieing. I'd like to set it to like 650-700.

Even on an auto trans car i would think it would "jump" a bit before smoothing out. depends on gearing, etc.

with long gears and auto you could prolly have the long-lope and get off the line w/o stalling.

If anyone thinks they'll get my car out of the garage w/o some training to drive a manual car with cams/gears is out of their mind. I'll be punching holes in them w/ my glock longslide before they even get it in reverse. lol.

Well I was thinking of getting 3.73's or 4.10's.

A new/better torque converter with a 2800-3000 stall would help too.

* Note to self: Buy Kevlar body armor.

Kevlar won't help you unless it covers your face. I spend about 2 hours a month at the range. lol.

You will def want a stall with these cams. I can tach it up a bit with the 5M but you'll want "some" stall.

Although i didn't notice a lot of low-range torque loss with these cams....

From what I've seen these don't lose any down low. From what I remember from a before and after dyno chart is that below 3K it's the same as stock but after that it gains. Although I guess that could vary depending on the tune.

Do you have a before dyno graph to overlay on your after?
