Question Predator tuner

RE: Question Predator tuner
If you go too rich you will reduce power. Ideally, you want it to be just a little on the lean side when you first get your foot in it and have it richen up as RPM and load increase, but only to about 14:1 max. when you hit redline.
I think the Predator has the ability to retrieve data that was logged by the car's computer. You can then using their software, download the data into your PC and see exactly what happened. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this.
Then again, how we used to do it in the "old" days was run the vehicle to redline in one of the higher gears. In this case 3rd would be ok. As soon as you hit redline in third, cut the engine, pull over and yank out a couple of spark plugs and read them. Look for a light tan color on the plugs. Then you've got it right. At least that's how we did it years ago with "God forbid" carburators. ok, now I've really dated myself. I'll go away now.
