Girl...you are more patient than me if you give them a third go around. I know some people have had very good luck with them, but after sending back the first spoiler with imperfections.....you'd think they'd take special care to get it right the second time!!!!!!

I'd be looking somewhere else.

 

Hmm, irritating. I'm not sure that I'd want to see what version #3 looks like. I had been on the fence about ordering one of these. Maybe I should take a pass then...

 

I've been thinking the same thing...guess I'll stick with the flat black idea. I hope they fix the situation. I'd make sure to mention that you have hundreds of people on MF waiting to see what happens...might help you out a bit.

Geez, I'm starting to think that they've got something against Tungsten Grey between the problems I had and you have.

Props for sticking with it though - any chance you can get them to e-mail you the return packing slip to save time (assuming they snail-mailed it last time)?

I think I just annoyed them enough they reinspected the spoilers and got me one that was fine, at least per the note the masking taped onto the spoiler, haha

 

I have one on the way. Will post back here when I get it. I may wait until I can get some warm weather to install the thing though. I'm guessing the 3M tape will bond better when it's over 45 degrees. So it might be a bit of a wait, possibly months.

So you can see the 3M tape on this thing? I saw that picture posted earlier where you could see the tape in the seam at the front of the spoiler where it meets the decklid. I'm not crazy about that. Seems like that would attract dust and all sorts of crap. And on a black car I'll have this cream colored tape seam staring me in the face between the spoiler and lid.

 

I've had mine on the car for over six months and have never inspected it that closely; now I'm afraid to look too close!

 

Riptide, I don't have any pics of the tape on the spoiler, but mine did not have any issue where the tape was sticking out on the sides to where it would have been exposed. It is fully concealed underneath.

Kinda like the issues Victoria has had, the tape sticking out could just be incidental occurrances

I got an email from Spoiler Store... here's what it says:

Hi Victoria,

I am going to have my manufacture send one out from thier stock and they will be call taging the one you have there for me. The spoiler you have there is a different spoiler, I have the first one here and will be returning it to my supplier.

They say third time is the charm.

I don't know what the heck they're trying to say in terms of the one I have right now, but as long as I get a good one that's all that matters to me. I certainly hope third time's the charm because there won't be a fourth time.
