scuff/scratch removal?
Scuffs will always come out on a relatively new paint job.
He's got a few scratches that are too deep though...
But you're right, once you run the buffer real quick, you have a true idea of what's going on with the damaged area.
Dents and deep scratches (ones that you can grab with your fingernail) cannot be "Buffed" out. If you want to try an at home remedy to see what your dealing with then use WD-40 on a soft cloth and wipe away the paint transfer as best you can. After wiping with the WD-40, follow up by wiping with rubbing alcohol. You know, the stuff in your bathroom. That will remove the oils that the WD-40 just laid down. If that's not strong enough then try wiping with enamel reducer. The paint transfer will wipe away, the deeper stuff won't and then you'll know what your dealing with. Tip: DO NOT wipe anything on this area (or any area for that matter) until you clean with a wet cloth or wet paper towel. Otherwise, your going to be grinding dirt and sand right into your finish and creating severe swirl marks. Anyone reading this post please do the same and NEVER wipe your car when it's dry. I know it's tempting but wait till you can wash it. That's how I kept this 05 looking brand new after 3 years. Well, that and washing it every 20 minutes. LOL
