Default Voltage Regulator Help

I am installing a new headunit and I am pretty sure I know which wires go to the voltage regulator but don't understand how to connect the wires to the prongs. I tried wrapping the wire around the prongs but that aint working out too well. Any help would be appreciated.

no you have to put in a 5v voltage regulator to prevent the door speakers from popping and its just 3 prongs and don't know how to connect the wires to them.

this is what it looks like

What is the package of the 5V reg?
A TO-220 package with a heatsink?
Place the solder leads pointing down
with the writing towards you.
12V in on the left, Ground to the center
and 5V out on the right lead.
The heatsink is active and needs to be
isolated from metat objects.
Heatshrink Tubing is great for this.

vtmustangs, do you knom how to use a soldering iron? You could solder the wire(s) to the prongs and put heat shrink tubuing on them to keep from shorting out.
