Just got my Hurst shifter, any install tips?

haha, I knew somebody'd say it. Did I mention I bought it for $135 new in the box? I thought for that price id at least give it a shot.

Thanks for the replies guys. I've heard really mixed reviews, I guess we'll see how it goes. Doesnt look like too hard of an install to go back and undo If I decide to take another route.

dont know you installed the shifter yet but i did my sons last weekend same shifter,it took about one hour. we dropped the front part of the drive shaft and it was a snap from there. and also theres no noise from it. good luck remember as long as it comes out right time doesn't matter.

you dont have to drop the d/s but it does make it a little eay\syer especailly if you have a mgw shifter, and i wouldnt use the rubber bushings just use what it comes with

No disrespect, but that looks like a butt plug to me...

I want that old school look of the Hurst, just contemplating getting it in hopes I don't have rattle.
