Default Christmas help for my son please...

It's Saturday and I'm bored at work...
So, I'm looking at some stuff to get my son for Christmas.

Question of the moment since I'm a BMW guy and not has familiar with his Mustang.

If I buy him a Rousch CAI for his car do I HAVE to get a tune with it or can he just run the CAI and the stock tune?

Price is $280 installed and I thought maybe that and a Cervini chin spoiler.
It's a 2007 Mustang GT.

Thanks in advance for the help!

nope, no tune required a roush cai is designed as a non-tune cai (btw, the airaid cai is exactly the same, and it usually about 20 bucks cheaper). the good thing about the roush/airaid is there is an inlet you can remove in the intake if he does want to get a tune for it down the road and produce more power

Hey man I dont know if it is a time or experience issue as to the installation but if it is experience save the money and do it with him they arent that hard to install it will be a good experience for the both of you also you may not need a tune with that particular CAI but you most definitely want a tune especially if it is an automatic its probably one of the best upgrades for them. Just my 0.02 also I am 17 my dad saw me drooling over some borla Stingers last night for the one thousandth time and he said if I get those for you will you stop playing that sound so loud on the computer (Youtube Vids) HAHA the other condition was no gift on christmas I gladly accepted it's what I wanted anyway's but anyway i dont know how old your son is but I gotta give you props for being a cool enough dad to get your son stuff for his car ROCK ON! And I hope he enjoys them.

Branoman...it's more the suprise factor then time and effort
He helped me do a CAI on my BMW so we know enough to be dangerous around oil changes and brakes- ha ha

He got the Rousch exhaust for his birthday about 7 months ago (he just turned 18).
I want to stick with Rousch since he's done the exhaust and he has a Rousch Spoiler and Rousch pedal kit.

I just wanted to do a CAI now and save the tune for next year.
Decisions...decisions!
Thanks for the advice to you and Xeno !

Hadn't thought about the shifter...suggestions
(He is not a fan of the old school shifters like the Hurst----kids)

Also, I made an error in all my surfing...it is the CDC chin spoiler I'm looking at for him.
