anymore ideas guys? have not had the chance to adjust the pinion angle anymore but i dont really think thats the cause of it.

LCA bushings - OK

panhard bar - have not checked yet

if i slip the clutch alot and have realllllly smooth shifts by feathering the clutch and gas it does NOT clunk... so what is that saying? it feels like something it just catching really hard.

could that have to do with my driveshaft? what about my actual pinion flange... should i replace that? http://www.newtakeoff.com/mustang05-...ionflange.aspx

and guys... by no means do i take it easy on this car, since day one it has seen probably over 1000 burnouts and countless passes at the strip...

I have a good amount of suspension mods and after installation I noticed the same clunking from the rear of the car when I let off the gas or going over bumps. I checked everything (bushings, jam nuts, torque specs...etc.) and it was still there. Next, I checked my pinion angle and it was set at 3 degrees, which was acceptable. I finally checked the LCAs and the passenger side was about 1/3" longer than the other...WTF. I measured and matched the LCAs and decided to change my pinion angle to 1 degree and double checked all bolts and jam nuts. Since that day, the suspension has been totally quiet .

Moral of the story...If you have adjustable LCAs check the length .

both of them are the same length... atleast on the adjuster area, did you measure the whole LCA or just the threaded adjustment area?

im really hoping its just something that has to do with the pinion angle

I measured the entire LCA from the centerline of the connection on the body to the centerline of the connection on my relocation bracket. After that, then I adjusted my pinion angle.
Hope it's a easy fix.

if i shift and dont match the reves or feather it i get a clunk aswell but ive always chalked that up to driveshaft slack. could this be your case aswell??

Upper control arm bushings? I've seen many posts with the exact same problem you're describing and it was either lower or upper control arm issues every time.
