Default Gauge problems

I have the cover off my gauge cluster, as my gauges have been messing up. Usually the speedo and heat can read more than they actually are. I disconnected my gauge cluster from the cable, when I hooked it back up the dials moved and now I can't keep the tach reading right. It goes to below 0. Even when I turn the car on and move the RPM needle to 750 RPM at idle, it's fine when I give it a regular amount of gas, but if I goose it it "slips" and when it comes back down it will read alot less. How can I reset my tach correctly? And the whole instrument cluster for that matter. 2005 V6 Stang. Thanks!

i would guess it might be a computer problem, or your gauges might have gone bad; i'm not an expert on this, though do you have an aftermarket tune or is it stock?
