You need to get weaker shocks than normal or see if there is any adjustment to make it weaker. You will probably get a slight bowing affect with the CF.
Cutterwolf had a real nice set of hood struts on his Trufiber hood and they wouldn't allow it to sit properly when it was closed, so he had to take them off and go back with the hood prop.
Contact www.calponycars.com they have designed a hood strut specifically for the GT500 (mounts are different than GT), and in conjunction with Trufiber designed a set for a fiberglass hood.
Cervinis has a set now and I have the redlines which require drilling that is easier than hood pins IMO to install. The hood struts from Redline are designed to give after you lower the hood from its full raised position to about a foot and a half from the latch. Just let it go and she shuts just fine.....even with CF
