As far as install it really depends. By me the going rate is $500 for labor and I called a lot of shops

Thanks alot, I think I will go with the 4.10's. I do have a 5 speed so hopefully it wont be too bad on the highway. I live in the Lake Jackson area about 45 minutes south of Houston on 288. I will call around to some shops down here otherwise I will call some shops in Houston. Not that far of a drive. Any brand that is better than the others? I was just going to order them with the install kit off of Brenspeed's website but if there are some better gears let me know.

Right now you can get them on www.buyfordracing.com for $150 with free shipping, that's for any gear set. It's in the lower left corner of the web page. I bought the 4.10 gears and the FRPP girdle. Plus they are Ford Racing parts so they are OEM

do you have to get that gear install kit? i heard that if your car is under 30k miles then they can still reuse all the bearings and etc..?

i know this is technically hyjacking the thread, but im sure he needs to know this too...

From reading other posts on MF, you will want to install new bearings...I would imagine that the cost of the bearings isn't that much...Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
