Theyll show you the whole process. We clayed the car, Scratch-x to get scratches out, polished car, Nxt wax, and he cut and buffed the hood as a favor to see how good the fiberglass hood looked. I didnt want to drive the car anymore once he was done. I dont remember the whole process, order or product names but Mike will show us the process and hook us up.
BTW, this is my old hood with out the twist style hood pins.
This is the hood before we started:

I've only had my GT for 2 months now and unfortunately, the weather here is too cold to polish it. The abrasives would not break down properly in the cold and I would do more harm than good. I use the Makita 9227 rotary polisher and a Porter Cable random orbital polisher as well. The orbital is better for beginners because it's safer and won't burn paint. However, there's no substitute for a rotary when you know what you're doing. A rotary will remove defects faster. It will break down polish better. It will burnish the finish like no other. But it will burn paint in the wrong hands. Here's a couple before and after shots of one of my winter beaters.
