depends on your objective and current mods. i would've gone twin-screw (whipple) right off the bat with a stock car. now that i have cams, 410's and the supporting mods for 6800rpm+ use I'll take a centri TYVM.
Cams aren't in the cards for me even if I get a blower. I want to get UDP, CMDP, spydershaft, LT headers, and then some bigger rear tires to replace the stock pirellis. At that point if I'm not happy I will get a blower.
I had been considering putting 4:10 gears in before doing anything else to the car but I'm having trouble deciding. If I do end up getting a whipple I might regret that choice due to the traction issues and insanely short first gear.
Hence my question about whether I should get them or not. I keep hearing different things.
you guys are really funny but i am the same way. i cant walk past my comp. without seeming to turn it on. it is rediculous and i know it but i can't seem to stop. after 2 years i am still not decided to go with a blower. $6000 is alot of cash for a blower!! and i suck at making decisions cause it always to seem to be the wrong one!!
VA stang.. is that an intercooler I see thru your lower grill. were you s/c at one time, then nitrous?
No intercooler. Just a grill to keep rocks out of my trans cooler. F'ning spoiler acts like a shovel! I am staying NA for now. Just bolt-ons and cams. Lots of suspension work and drive train up-grades. Plus a Little spray when I need it. Plenty for the street plus keeping the motor together. Once I do the bottom end (maybe this winter) I will Turbo or install a 2 stage nitrous set up. Would like to get to 500rwhp plus. But in no hurry to do it. It runs fine now!
