Default MGW shifter

MGW here. Its adjustable and just plain feels good to shift. Firm but not notchy. Good luck either way you go.

i like the hurst, but i have not tried any other aftermarket shifters. The hurst is very notchy and you "click in" from gear to gear. I like this because you are confident with your throws. But if the notchy feel is not your thing, i would recommend something else.

I had the Hurst, and it was definately better than stock, but I wasn't totally happy with it. I switch out to the MGW, and was completely satisfied.

So what are all the options with the MGW? I know it has a lot more options but I can't seem to find them all together...

Go with a Steeda and put the Hurst shifter arm and white ball on it. I have seen this done before and felt how it shifted which isn't bad. I personally like the Hurst because the shifts are the closest compared to what I have driven. I never driven one with an MGW but I hear great things about them. Some have the Hurst rattled and some don't. I'm on my 2nd new and improved Hurst shifter and I admit it had a rattle but I have since taken care of that. It can be annoying but the rattle can be removed by a little trial and error. I have heard of other shifters having rattling issues as well. Go with the Hurst since you like the look and you will love the way it shifts.

I had the hurst and sold it and got the pro 5.0. I LOVE IT and will not swap againg. I have driven the MGW on a friends car but i didnt like it as much.. It was up in the air.
since no one i know around here has the new pro 5.0 i decided to buy and try and well kept it. I had the hurst for like 9 months and progressivly disliked it.
go pro 5.0 you wont regret it. The only shifter that literaly FINDS the next gear by itself. (my wife likes to change gears for me from the passenger seat) I wouldnt let her do that in the hurst or the mgw because they can go wrong...
Ok to give you a heads up the 5th and reverse gear are tight. you get used to it after a while but at first you will have to take a second or two to get it there but now i shift it probably faster then the hurst in 5th.
as for shift times (as bad as they are for our trans) i can power shift soooooo fast in the pro 5.0
