I'm in a similar position to you, im 17 almost 18, looking to upgrade from my badass v6 to an even more badass GT, but I want to keep my two thousand dollar foose wheels. I think once you add insurance into the equation it is ridiculous to even consider a GT, especially with my legal history and such. But I would love to upgrade
Well, I will voice my opinion.
GT!
I've driven both. No comparison.
If I had a sixxer and had the opportunity to swap to a GT, I wouldn't even have to blink.
Do it. You will never look back and you won't care that you have stock bumpers. The sound/power/bragging rights is so worth it.
Please don't let this post make me sound like a snob. I really don't mean to sound like one.

Get the GT.....I debated and made the move Dec 1st. I can honestly say the V6 was a great car and fun while insurance wasnt too bad but once I turned 21 my insurance on the GT was only 5 bucjs more a month...plus it isss a lot more fun to drive.
With the wild deals on the GT (18500 for an 09 in Galpin)right now might as well bite the bullet and get what you really want. Besides, from the looks of how your posts are worded, you sound like you have V8 envy. Just do it.
You could pimp out the V6, but you have to factor in bodywork, extra maintanence on that body kit etc.
I would be much more inclined to get a GT, you can probably even find a better deal than the one you have showing. You will have stock duals, so it wont be as costly to do boomtubes (they will sound better), and the other mods you will be able to afford will be much more gratifying.
Besides, if you keep the car, you can be that old dude restoring his mustang GT from high school... Who restores a v-6?
