As some know I will maybe buy a Shelby 07 next year, but I found this video http://www.dropacar.com/video/32/She...s_Z06_Corvette where a Shelby kicks so much *** that I almost got tears in my eyes what have been done to that car, be cause I dont think its a default Shelby, but Im also not sure if there is a new supercharger on it.

The main question is, what do I need to get that speed.

I have a post from a week or 2 ago what does it take to beat a Z06. If you buy the shelby gt500, a 3.4 whipple, larger injectors, gears, a great set of tires, kick a$$ tune and seat time you should be able to kick some Z06 a$$. BTW: the vette in the video let off the gas, he ran a 16.3 @ 87mph, unfortunately 11.8's aren't going to be enough to kick a Z06's butt, unless the guy can't drive or your braket racing, which is how I manage to beat them.

 

Cant go off that video for anything. The vette CLEARLY did not make a full run and to be quite honest, a new Z06 Vette in the right hands (read good driver) is a mid 11 second car. Takes a little bit to get a GT500 into that zone. That said, both cars are awesome ...

 

yes I know hes gets of the Gas, but I think its be cause the Shelby is wining big time. as i see some work has to be done to beat a Covette.

couple of things, that is a C5 Z06 not the new C6 505hp version
a well driven GT500 with DRs is capable of high 11s, pulley swap and tune mid 11s IMO

new blower and suspension mods gets you in the high 10sIMO
