Took the 05 GT, 5 speed stick in today. There has been a noise coming from under the console area, on the passenger side, just about even with the front of the emergency brake handle. It was present when accelerating in first gear, rarely in second.

All fixed under warranty, only there about an hour. I was told a "carrier" had loosened up, and that it was re-tightened. No more noise, and out the door.


6300 miles and counting, so far just todays loose carrier, and the fuel tank replaced when near new. Not unhappy about any of this at all.

Still getting a lot of attention where ever I go.

 

Congrats Higgie! I hate little noises like that.. they can make a fantastic car suck until fixed.
I had a rattle in my Tahoe for a while.
