Angry squeaky clutch pedal

well, for the past couple of days, there has been a squeak in the clutch pedal when i press and release it. it sounds high pitched like when your shoes are wet and they squeak on the rubber on the pedals, but thats not it. its a squeak in the pedal assembly it's self.

i tried using some WD-40 on the pivot point and all the other moving parts of the clutch pedal inside the car, and the noise got worse!!! now its louder and instead of being at the end of the clutch pedal travel range its all the way through the whole motion of using the clutch.

this is a really annoying thing to have happening. does anyone know of a quick or temporary fix until i can make it to a dealer to have it fixed??

Thnaks,

-Tony

WD-40 just washed all the OEM lithium grease off
of the pivot points. It needs to be relubed with
an OEM style lubricant.
They make a spray lithium grease.
Apply to all pivot points.

yes he is right. WD40 is not grease. it is actually a degreaser. go pick up some spray white lithium grease from your hardware store/automotice store and use it on it. dont go too crazy with it though. spray it and depress and so on. should get rid of it. if that doesnt do it take it in.
Ps keep a can of lithium in the garage, its handy stuff
